LifeWear Shoulder Support Neoprene (LWC11)

The “Shoulder Support Neoprene” is a shoulder brace / support belt made by LifeWear. It’s meant for people with shoulder dislocation, subluxation (partial dislocation), or soft-tissue injury, or for use during physical activity to protect the shoulder.

Materials & Construction

• Neoprene fabric: The brace is made from neoprene which helps with heat retention, but importantly also allows breathability and moisture-wicking, so it doesn’t feel overly sweaty (though some warmth is expected).
• Hook-receptive fabric + Velcro fastening: It uses Velcro to secure the brace; hook-receptive surface (i.e., loops/hook side) to help secure the strap. This allows adjustability and a snug fit.
• Anatomical design: Designed to conform around the shoulder contours; the support belt is shaped to fit the shoulder region, giving support while restricting movements that aggravate injury.

Function

• Compression & Support: Provides compression around the shoulder joint which helps reduce swelling/pain and supports injured tissues.
• Warmth: The neoprene material helps retain warmth in the region which can aid in healing and reduce stiffness.
• Restriction of Motion: While it’s not a full immobilizer, it helps limit unwanted movements (especially abduction / external rotation) which could worsen dislocation or slow healing.
  
• Preventive Use: It may also be used as a prophylactic / preventive brace during certain sports or activities to lower the chance of injury.
