Aptamil Anti-Reflux is a nutritionally complete, thickened infant formula specially formulated for the dietary management of frequent reflux and regurgitation in babies. It is suitable from birth to 12 months, with use from birth to 6 months as a sole source of nutrition and from 6–12 months as part of a weaning diet. It contains carob bean gum, which thickens the prepared feed and helps it stay down more easily.

Main Ingredients

The formula contains a fermented dairy-based blend, lactose, skimmed milk, demineralised whey, whey concentrate, vegetable oils, fish oil, GOS, carob bean gum, whey protein, FOS, taurine, L-carnitine, vitamins and minerals. It also contains soy lecithin as an emulsifier.

Allergens: Contains milk, fish and soya. It is not suitable for babies with cow’s milk allergy or lactose intolerance.

Preparation

Because this is a thickened formula, preparation differs from ordinary infant formula. The manufacturer recommends using freshly boiled water cooled for no more than 45 minutes, accurately measuring the powder with the supplied scoop, shaking thoroughly and allowing the prepared feed to stand for approximately 5 minutes so that it can thicken. A single-hole fast-flow teat is recommended. Always follow the feeding and preparation instructions printed on the specific pack.

Storage

• Store the unopened powder in a cool, dry place.
• Do not refrigerate the powder.
• Keep the container tightly closed.
• Use the powder within 4 weeks of opening.
• Prepared feeds should be handled according to the manufacturer’s safety instructions.
